Do I need my birth time?
Birth time is optional but highly recommended. Without it, we cannot calculate your Ascendant (Rising sign) or accurate house positions. Even with an approximate time, the chart provides valuable insights. If unknown, we use noon as default.
What is the difference between Sun sign and Rising sign?
Your Sun sign represents your core identity and is determined by your birthday. Your Rising sign (Ascendant) is the zodiac sign that was rising on the eastern horizon at your birth time. The Rising sign shapes how others perceive you and often describes your physical appearance.
How accurate is this calculator?
Our calculator uses simplified VSOP87 astronomical algorithms with accuracy within ±1° for most planets. For the Moon, accuracy is ±2°. The Ascendant and house system require precise birth time and location for accuracy.
